Certified, Accredited Fire Safety Practitioners required to sign AFSS's

Linkfire can sign off on all Fire Safety Measures for Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS's) in NSW.

Previously it was considered acceptable to complete a systems annual maintenance service, and using the results, sufficiently determine system performance as being able to be signed off.

However, due to recent changes to NSW legislation, the level of assessment has become more in-depth and  must align with the nominated building codes and legislation. This is apparent by the introduction of stricter industry requirements and of the accreditation scheme that controls sign off.; that is, they must be completed by an “Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety)”. There are significant fines and loss of accreditation for not adhering to best practices as defined by FPAA (Fire Protection Association Australia).
